Design and Development

We have the domain expertise necessary for product conceptualization, finalization of specifications, engineering, assembly, testing and validation. All members of our design team are graduate engineers with superior design skills and passion to innovate. Our two decades of experience in design and development of engineering products has today placed us at much higher pedestal.

We employ a host of computer software like AutoDesk, Catia, SoildWorks, Rapid Harness, Proteus, NI MultiSim etc for our CAD activities.

Domain Strength

STPL has vast experience and domain knowledge in design and development of :

• Line Replaceable Units.

In the year 2018, STPL ventured into mechanical ground support equipment (GSE) in partnership with Vassmaan Engineering Private Limited, Chennai. One of the major projects we have initiated is ‘Indian Towbarless Tug’ for aircraft towing operations. This product is planned to be launched in March 2020.

Product Life Cycle Management

STPL ensures life cycle management of its products right from conceptualization and realization of prototypes till obsolescence management. Maintenance Repair Operations (MRO) and System Upgrades are planned, where required at the inception stage itself. We ensure that our customer enjoys our products with least downtime, throughout its life span.

Ground Support Equipment under development by STPL are;

• Indian Towbarless Tug
• Scissor Ladder for aircraft maintenance
• Universal Cockpit ladder for fighter aircraft
• Universal Towbar
• Drop tank trolley

Cable Harness

STPL has a organically grown cable harness facility from conceptualization stage to mass manufacture. The superior skillsets and experience of out cable harness team gives us the freedom to manufacture cable assemblies and wire harness assemblies to meet the specific requirements of our customers. Our cable harness products range  include:

• Single branch cable assemblies
• Complex harness assemblies with multiple branching, running up to 15 meters in length
• Built-To-Print manufacturing, selection and sourcing of connectors, adaptors, cable accessories.
• BS-4 compatible cable harnesses for automobile. 

All our key members of the cable harness team are IPC certified and are proficient in operation of various tools & test equipment for manufacturing of cable and wire looming assemblies.

Our Quality Management System has been certified to meet the requirements of AS 9100D and ISO 9001-2015 standards. Directorate General of Aerospace Quality Assurance (DGAQA) has also endorsed our QMS for indigenisation of test equipment, cable harnesses and LRU. One of ways we earn our daily bread is by spreading the quality consciousness amongst our employees and continually improving the effectiveness of our QMS.
